Mourinho eager to clearout senior Man Utd fringe players

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho remains determined to dump a raft of senior players before the market shuts.

The Telegraph says Bastian Schweinsteiger, Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind and Juan Mata could all be on their way out of United.

United completed the £90million capture of France international midfielder Paul Pogba from Juventus on Tuesday and now manager Jose Mourinho has the fourth and final of his “fundamental signings", he is looking to make some room for more squad fillers.

Spain star Mata, who was substituted on and off in the 2-1 Community Shield victory over Leicester City at the weekend, was used sparingly by Mourinho while the pair worked together at Chelsea. Mata has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and former club Valencia.

However, Mourinho is prepared to keep Mata and also Blind and Rojo if he has to. Schweinsteiger has no future at the club.
