Mourinho drives Man Utd to bid for Spurs fullback Rose

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho isn't giving up on signing Tottenham fullback Danny Rose.

The Sun says Rose has been tracked by United over the last few seasons and is understood to be interested in a move away.

Rose has stated earlier this season he would consider quitting Spurs for a lucrative contract and chance to win more trophies.

And the Red Devils are hoping to lure the 27-year-old to Old Trafford, to improve their Premier League title chances.

However, Tottenham chief Daniel Levy is adamant he will not sell to United, and improve one of their rival's squads.

A source said: “It is not secret that Jose likes Rose. He is looking to make a move for him in January when the window opens.

“He could prove difficult to get though as Tottenham do not like dealing with United. It all depends on money at the end of the day."

Reports have also suggested a possible swap deal could be on the cards involving Rose and United full-back Luke Shaw.
