Mourinho denies Man Utd tactics held back his attack

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho insists his tactics didn't hold back his attack for defeat to Sevilla.

The 2-1 result saw United bounced out of the Champions League.

United struggled to create real clear cut opportunities across the 180 minutes of the second leg tie, and were frustrated for long periods.

But Mourinho insists he has no problem with his side's attack, despite managing just four shots on target.

"The players were completely free for that….we had good situations - I saw one just in front of me in the last period of the first half with Lingard, Valencia and Marcus Rashford - which is exactly what we work for and exactly what we want.

"We had good situations, we had good periods. I don't say we had good control of the ground. I cannot say that my players had something wrong with their attitude and their intention to play."
