Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has played down suggestions that he and John Terry have been involved in a spat.
Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard indicated on BT Sport on Wednesday night that there must be a divide between the Blues boss and his skipper after Terry started on the bench in the Champions League clash with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Gerrard felt that the reason for Terry not playing was that 'something's clearly happening behind the scene' but Mourinho has since dismissed those claims.
"Steven is wrong," the Portuguese tactician said.
"I have a very good relationship with him. Sometimes we contact by SMS (text message). But he's wrong, because we have no problems."
Terry spent the entire 90 minutes on the bench with Gary Cahill and Kurt Zouma occupying central defence as Chelsea kicked off their European campaign with a solid 4-0 win over the Israeli champions.
