Chelsea are ready to hand Frank Lampard a new contract.

The Mirror says Jose Mourinho is desperate for Lampard to be part of his set-up when he takes over at Stamford Bridge this summer.

And the Real Madrid coach appears to have been granted his wish as the London club prepare to offer a new deal to the midfielder to try to stop him leaving when his contract expires at the end of the season.
