Real Madrid continue to explore the prospect of bringing Inter Milan ace Samuel Eto'o back to the club. Eto'o was brought to Europe by Real before launching his pro career at Real Mallorca and later enjoying great success with Barcelona.

Real coach Jose Mourinho stays in regular contact with his former Inter star and El Confidencial says the prospect of an amazing reunion in Madrid is not being ruled out.

Eto'o in recent months has publicly climbed down from his past taunting of Real and the friction with president Florentino Perez has subsided.

Real will be making a big striker signing in 2011 and while talks have been held with Athletic Bilbao's Fernando Llorente, Eto'o would be a huge coup in keeping with the standing of the club around the world.
