Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that he will be signing new strikers at the end of the season.
Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba have netted just 15 goals between them in the Premier League this term which has prompted the Blues boss to step into the transfer market once the next window opens this summer.
"I don't think it's the moment to speak about next season and the market, but it's clear to everybody that Chelsea next year wants to bring a striker," said the Portuguese.
"That is clear. It's also clear we want to improve our players.
"What's the future for the [current Chelsea] strikers? The ones that are staying are competing with the striker we are bringing.
"And normally at the end of the season, players that are not playing a lot or players who are not happy and prefer a change, that is also part of the market.
"We want to improve the team and the players and make some surgical movements in the transfer window."
The Blues, who are currently second on the league table, have been linked with summer moves for Atletico Madrid star Diego Costa, Bayern Munich's Mario Mandzukic, and to a lesser extent Monaco's Radamel Falcao and Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani.
