Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that he is interested in signing Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona.
Rumours have been circulating recently regarding the possibility of the 27-year old Spanish midfielder making a move to Stamford Bridge this summer and now Mourinho has gone about endorsing the potential transfer.
"I think he is eager to leave Barcelona and very motivated by the idea of returning to England. I think that is pretty clear," the Portuguese tactician said at a Yahoo event in Belgium.
"After that, whether he signs for us or someone else is not a question for today, tomorrow or before the World Cup.
"We are interested to see how the situation evolves."
Spain international Fabregas joined boyhood club Barcelona from Arsenal in 2011 but is being heavily linked with a summer departure.
