Mourinho confident his Chelsea will beat Man Utd to title

Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho is backing former club Chelsea to see off Manchester United's challenge and win the Premiership. The Blues must beat Stoke City at Stamford Bridge today to reclaim pole position following United's 3-1 win over Tottenham yesterday.

Mourinho told the Sunday Mirror: "I expect Chelsea to win the title.

"They have enough experience not to let the advantage slip with just three games to go.

"Manchester United are breathing down their throats but they would rather be in Chelsea's position and not have to rely on them to slip-up to claim a fourth successive title."

With an undeniable sense of mischief, Jose went on: "Chelsea have gone a long time without winning anything of major significance and the players will not lose sight of that and what it means to the supporters of the club.

"You would expect them to win their home games against Stoke and Wigan.

"The difficulty will come at Liverpool, but Chelsea will know what is at stake and they have a reasonably good record against them."
