Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has paid tribute to club legend Frank Lampard. Lampard is playing his last game in the Premier League on Sunday before leaving for New York City and starting a new career in the MLS.

The 36-year-old left Chelsea as a free agent last summer and ended up joining their title rivals Manchester City.

Mourinho said: "I had the same words for Gerrard, but I have even more emotion for Frank Lampard who is also playing his last match.

"He is one of my best players ever, one of best professionals ever. He is a Chelsea legend and a legend of the Premier League.

"This is the last match for Frank and I have to wish him the best in the States. I hope he can come back to England soon because people like him make the country better and is a big loss for English football."
