Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has replied to the latest taunts from Barcelona star Xavi. Xavi again mocked his former Barca mentor last week.

"Mourinho is not going to go down in history of football," he snapped.

In Record yesterday, Mourinho said: "He should focus on what he is good at, playing football.

"Xavi does not need to be nice and populist to become what he already is, an idol of Barça."

Meanwhile, Mou's spokesman Eladio Paramés highlighted the disappointment their camp feels at the constant barbs from Xavi.

He tweeted: "Mr. Xavi: watch your memory and do not forget who supported you and helped you when you were not yet known and were taking your first steps in football."

Mourinho worked closely with Xavi as part of the Barca staff when the star midfielder was coming through as a junior player.
