The Daily Mail says Tottenham's hopes of convincing Juande Ramos to take charge next summer have been hit after Sevilla president Jose Maria Del Nido revealed he plans to offer the coach a new contract.
Sevilla are 15th in La Liga but Del Nido wants his coach to extend his stay at the club. The president said: "His contract expires on June 30, 2008. Juande is going to have a magnificent end to this season and then we shall talk."
The news could spark fresh speculation that Mourinho could be offered the White Hart Lane post if Martin Jol's tenure does come to an end.
