Former Real Madrid assistant coach Aitor Karanka is being linked with a move to England.
Madrid sources say Karanka is a candidate for the Crystal Palace post and he is also being linked with Middlesbrough, where Mark Venus remains caretaker manager following Tony Mowbray's departure.
Karanka was Jose Mourinho's No2 at Real for three years and was offered the chance to follow him to Chelsea in the summer.
But the Spaniard is keen to now launch his own management career and has been waiting for the right offer.
