Motherwell goalkeeper Darren Randolph is determined to win a spot in the Republic of Ireland squad for next summer's European Championships.
The 24-year old has yet to make his senior international debut but has been included in recent squads by Giovanni Trapattoni as back-up for Aston Villa's Shay Given and is looking to pick up his club performances so he can travel with the team to Poland and Ukraine to take on Italy, Spain and Croatia in Group C.
"Just to be sitting in the stands and looking on would be a fantastic experience," he said.
"That will be on the back of my mind for the rest of this season.
"I'm close to being included and if I can finish the season strongly then I could force my way in.
"We will have a few friendlies before the tournament and hopefully I'll get the chance to show what I can do."
