Motherwell are offering a deal to former Everton and Arsenal striker Francis Jeffers.
The Mirror says Jeffers is being offered a surprise return to British football - with Stuart McCall's SPL side Motherwell.
The former England striker, 30, is a free agent after a stint with Newcastle Jets in Australia and will talk to Motherwell.
Jeffers, who shot to fame as a youngster at Everton in the late 1990s and also turned out for Arsenal, Charlton, Rangers, Blackburn, Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday, also has an offer to go to the MLS with Steve Nicol's New England Revolution.
