Stephen McManus has revealed that re-signing with Motherwell was a simple decision.
The 31-year old defender penned a two-year deal with the Steelmen this week and admits it was not hard to extend after a successful debut season at Fir Park.
"Last season couldn't have gone any better for me personally," he told the club's official website.
"I wanted to come here at the start of last season, play as many games as possible and, hopefully, bring something to the team.
"I've really enjoyed it and the decision to extend really was a no-brainer."
The former Celtic and Middlesbrough man joined the 'Well on a one-year deal last summer and went onto make 42 appearances in all competitions for Stuart McCall's side who finished second behind Celtic on the league table.
