Motherwell boss McCall desperate to keep squad together ahead of Champions League

Motherwell will enter the Champions League qualifiers next season after ensuring third place on the Scottish Premier League table.

With second-placed Rangers ineligible for European competitions because of their current administration and financial woes, the Well have snuck into the Champions League spot and manager Stuart McCall is determined to keep his current crop together after a solid season domestically.

"There's a little bit of wheeling and dealing to be done," said McCall.

"I hope from my point of view we can keep the majority of the squad that have been so successful this season."

He added: "When the draw's made and we're actually in it, I'll believe it.

"The major success has been to finish third. I think it's been an outstanding achievement by our players."
