Motherwell boss McCall added to Scotland coaching staff

Motherwell manager Stuart McCall has joined Gordon Strachan's Scotland coaching staff as an assistant coach.

The 48-year old joins former Fir Park boss Mark McGhee as assistants to Strachan who was appointed as Craig Levein's replacement last week.

"I am thrilled to have been asked by Gordon to join his backroom team," said the 40-timesd capped Scotland international.

"Playing for my country was the highlight of my career and I've been fortunate enough to play at World Cups and European Championships.

"They hold special memories for me and the Scotland supporters deserve a return to those days.

"I am proud to be asked to assist with the national team and look forward to working with an excellent squad of players and two outstanding coaches in Gordon and Mark."
