Moss expects Gold Coast United to bounce back against Victory

Gold Coast United goalkeeper Glen Moss suggests his side's last two losses have been minor aberrations on the overall scale and expects the team to put that behind them this Sunday.

Fourth-placed United host fifth-placed Melbourne Victory in an A-League elimination final and the former Victory custodian is confident ahead of the clash despite carrying some poor form.

"Those last two losses against the Roar and the Mariners, hopefully they were just hiccups," said Moss.

"We've got a great squad this year and we've shown for the majority of this season that we can compete with anyone."

Victory coach Ernie Merrick is delighted where his side is at from a personnel point of view and feels his side are ready to give their best in yet another finals series.

"It's ironic that we've got our best team out there after qualifying for the finals," said Merrick.

"We understand that it's going to be a very tough game up at the Gold Coast but we're certainly looking forward to being a part of the finals once again."
