Victor Moses is desperate for a starting place at Wigan Athletic.
The former Crystal Palace attacker impressed in Wigan's friendly with Dundee United.
Moses told the Wigan Evening Post: "It's up to me to make it as hard a decision as I can for the gaffer.
"I just want to get on the pitch and enjoy myself, and I was delighted with the way I played on Sunday.
"I tried and get in as many one-against-ones as I can, and the manager wants me to do that.
"I know I have got a lot of competition in my position, with Charlie, Hugo and also Mauro Boselli, who are all good players.
"But the gaffer is a top manager and he knows what he is doing."
