Former Atalanta striker Christian Vieri is being lined up for a move to South Africa's Moroka Swallows.

Swallows coach Julio Cesar Leal confirmed: "Vieri is a great player, though he is 35 years old, it should not be forgotten that he was one of the best in the world.

"We hope that the negotiations can be completed.

"We are taking into consideration several different names to reinforce the team and among them there is also that of Vieri."
