Morgan urges Everton target Kilgallon to stay with Sheffield Utd

Sheffield United veteran Chris Morgan is urging Matthew Kilgallon to reject interest from Everton.

Blues boss David Moyes has lined up a £30,000-a-week deal he hopes will tempt him to Goodison Park in the summer.

But Morgan reckons Kilgallon has an emotional attachment to the Blades which could prove vital when the time comes for him to decide his future.

Morgan said: "We need to keep our best players, and Killa certainly comes into that category. We are all delighted that he is staying for the rest of the season - and I have not given up hope that we can keep him long-term.

"Matt is very happy here. He loves the club, gets on great with all the lads, and I am sure he would stay if we go up.

"He has no issues with anybody at the Lane, and he knows how much we want him to remain one of us.

"It is just all about the business of being in the top flight. That is where he wants to be and, hopefully, we can get him there. It would be a massive bonus if we could keep hold of him."
