Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin admits the club has always been a part of his life.
The France midfielder, 25, joined from Southampton in a £25m deal this summer.
Asked what Manchester United represented for him, he told France Football: “Old Trafford, Ferguson, Beckham, the biggest club in the world: the Red Devils. All that.
"It is impossible to describe the club in one word. When I was small, we were all a bit younger than David Beckham – we loved his haircut, his free kicks. I used to follow him, I loved the player.
“The European match which most impressed me in my life was Manchester United-Real Madrid in 2003 in the quarter-finals. 4-3 for MU.
"Beckham scored a double and Ronaldo a hat-trick. When the Brazilian was subbed off, Old Trafford gave him a standing ovation. That match, it was pleasure – there was such intensity."
