Morgan bullish over Wolves Premiership chances

Wolves owner Steve Morgan is confident the club can cut it in the Premiership next season.

The former Liverpool shareholder said: "We're going into the Premier League and we're going in there to stay. With the nucleus we've already got and the blend we'll have, I think we'll be a force next season.

"I'm not even thinking about staying up this season, because the thought of going down isn't even crossing my mind. We're in the Premier League, we want to establish ourselves in there and then kick on from there."

Morgan continues to talk up their Premier League prospects when most clubs are talking about survival.

He also told the Express & Star: "I think we've got a great squad which we're in the process of adding to.

"We've added two so far and with the nucleus of what we already have, and with the quality of players we're hoping to bring in, I think we'll give anyone a run for their money next season. I am with Mick and Jez and we're in negotiations with another clutch of players at this very moment in time.

"The quality of players we're talking about, added to what we already have, will mean we'll give anyone a game.

"We're certainly not going in there to be cannon fodder for anyone."
