Wolves chairman Steve Morgan blames Steve Bruce for their problems in naming a replacement for Mick McCarthy.
Ex-Sunderland boss Bruce revealed his 'disappointment' at missing out on a return to the game, although Wolves say it was not their decision.
Morgan believes the 51-year-old agreed to join and his U-turn cost the club four days in their search for a new man.
"Bruce accepted the job, he accepted it," claimed Morgan. "He took four days away from the process."
