Morgan backs Leicester teammate Maguire to become England regular

Wes Morgan is backing his Leicester City teammate Harry Maguire to become an England regular.

The 25-year-old was named in Gareth Southgate's squad for the upcoming friendlies against the Netherlands and Italy.

And with Gary Cahill, Chris Smalling and Michael Keane absent from the squad, Morgan believes Maguire can solidify his place in the team.

"I am not surprised he has become an England regular," said Morgan.

"I see him every day in training and I see what he is capable of.

"I see the rest of the competition he has got as well and I think he is as good and better than a lot of the boys in front of him.

"I am sure at some point he will be a regular starter for England and he will be a big star of the future.

"I think he has been superb for us. He has settled in so well and he is definitely one for the future.

"I have said it before, he is young and he is playing for England so I can see a big, big future for him.

"I am interested in seeing how far he can progress but I think he can go all the way to the top."
