Morgan, Albrighton lost for words in wake of latest Leicester gain

Leicester City created more history tonight by progressing to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The Foxes beat Sevilla 2-0 at the King Power Stadium to win 3-2 on aggregate and subsequently book a place in the final eight of Europe's elite competition.

Captain Wes Morgan and winger Marc Albrighton were the goalscorers for the reigning Premier League champions and neither could really believe what had happened when speaking with BT Sport after the triumph.

"Incredible," said Morgan.

"I can't quite believe it. We knew coming into the Champions League it would be tough to get this far and here we are."

Asked if it is the greatest night in the club's history, captan Morgan added: "It must be.

"Not sure this is ever gonna happen again, but we did it. We proved a lot of people wrong, we pulled it off."

As for the next phase of the competition, Morgan added further: "We will take whoever comes, we will enjoy the moment, it is a fantastic night for Leicester.

"We've still got some work to do in the league, but we can enjoy right now."

Albrighton said: "I'm a bit lost for words, what a night!

"We thoroughly deserved the victory, we pressed them from first whistle to the last.

"We defended triumphantly. To keep a clean sheet is fantastic for us."

On scoring the goal, he said: "Lost for words about it.

"We've played brilliantly in this Champions League campaign and we just want to keep it going as long as possible."

Leicester find themselves alongside Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus in the Champions League quarter-finals.
