Moreno signs new DC United deal

DC United have re-signed key attacker Jaime Moreno on a new deal it has been reported. The former Bolivian international is a highly important player for DC and has been with the club since the inception of MLS in 1996 despite spending one season with MetroStars.

DC general manager Dave Kasper was delighted that the club could hold on to their star goalscorer.

"Jaime is a very important player to our club in many ways and we are excited to have him back with us," said Kasper. "When he is on the field, he makes us a better team, and he makes plays that can change a game."

Added Moreno: "Obviously, I am very happy and excited about the new season. We have new coaches and players, and it is a big challenge for the organization. Personally, I am going to work hard to help this team achieve its goals."
