Morecambe skipper Jim Bentley has shrugged off their influence in Sol Campbell quitting Notts County after just one game.
Campbell agreed a five-year deal with Notts County after his contract with Portsmouth expired, earning a reported £40,000 a week.
But after just one taste of League Two life against Bentley's men, Campbell packed his bags and left.
And the Morecambe captain believes nobody will ever get to the bottom of why the 35-year-old legged it from Meadow Lane.
He said: "A lot was said at the time about our facilities putting him off football at this level. But you don't really know why he left.
"It is not really for us to say either. It's a matter for Sol and those at Notts County.
"We just know that we enjoyed the win against them and want more of the same."
