More Sunderland departures expected as Malbranque leaves for Saint-Etienne

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce insists that more players will following Steed Malbranque out of the club this summer.

The Frenchman has returned home, signing for Saint-Etienne, and Bruce indicates that there will be a few more to join him out the Stadium of Light exit doors after the Black Cats brought in a big number of players in the transfer window.

"It's possible that two or three people might move on and there are some irons in the fire," he told the club's official website.

"There are three or four weeks to go until the end of the transfer window. Whether they get over the line or not I don't know, but we'll see."
