More efficiency and Norwich will be fine - Surman

Norwich City midfielder Andrew Surman is confident that the club will easily avoid relegation this season if they can become more efficient in front of goal.

The Canaries kicked off the new campaign with a disappointing 5-0 loss at Fulham but have recorded three draws (with QPR, Tottenham and West Ham United) since.

The three points they have recorded sees Norwich sitting 16th on the table but Surman feels that if the team can improve on their two goals so far, they will be able to maintain their status in the top flight.

"I think the performance [against West Ham] was great, as it has been for the last three games. We just not taking our chances at the moment.," he told Canaries Player.

"I think the positives are there - we're creating chances and keeping clean sheets. The performances are good, we just need to convert some chances and I'm sure we'll be all right."

He added: "We're looking very good defensively. We've got a very good shape about us, and the good thing is that we're still creating chances with that shape.

"We've just got to keep it going, keep believing in what we and the manager are doing here, and if we convert these chances, we'll be all right."
