More Arsenal misery as Walcott ruled out for six weeks

Arsenal's injury concerns mount with the news that Theo Walcott has been sidelined for up to six weeks. The 21-year-old picked up an ankle problem while on England duty in their 3-1 win over Switzerland in Basel on Tuesday night.

The knock was sustained in the build-up to England's first goal, and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger says a scan revealed the extent of the damage.

"The tackle looked quite bad," Wenger told Arsenal's official website.

"When you see how it turned his ankle I thought it would be three or four days or it would be four to six weeks. Unfortunately it will be four to six weeks.

"We had some good news about the scan because at some stage we were scared it could be worse.

"But overall it is a question of patience and rehabilitation."
