Former Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti believes they must buy next month.
Inter lost the Serie A leadership this week after defeat to Udinese.
Moratti stated: “I am very optimistic for the future of Inter, as the loss to Udinese was just a bump in the road.
“I don't know if there will be January reinforcements, but I think a new centre-back and striker would be of use, otherwise the squad already works just fine.
“What the team has done so far shows everything required to continue doing well going forward. I can pass on patience and passion, care for the club, and I think all those characteristics are currently present at Inter.
“Nowadays, football has the kind of structure that makes it impossible to replicate what my family had at the helm of Inter. Suning are entrepreneurs and paid attention to the history of Inter."
