Former Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti paid tribute to the club after their 110th anniversary last week.

Moratti was given a special award for his contribution to Inter.

“Behind Inter there is a past made up of dreams and united friends. Inter have real meaning and are one of the things I have loved the most in my life," Moratti told RMC Sport.

“My father was a genius who could see the future. He gave us a great responsibility. Too often, suffering is associated with these club colours, but for me these years were also profoundly moving and allowed us to win several trophies.

“Inter is like loving a beautiful woman who is difficult to deal with a spoilt, all things that are tough to put up with. Being a President has always been a role of great responsibility and I felt that towards the fans."
