Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti insists Adriano has a future with the club, despite not being registered for the Champions League this season.

"Adriano will play in Serie A for us and can take a very important role in helping us to win it," Moratti told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"We were forced to make the decision to leave him out of the Champions League squad, but we did so with reluctance and it was by no means a spiteful gesture towards him.

"He has looked very good in training and he is recovering well and I can assure you that his adventure at Inter isn't over yet.

"His leaving is not inevitable as it's not that he has behaved badly, but rather he found himself in a psychologically difficult position."
