Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata WANTS to join Chelsea this summer.
The 24-year-old was offered a five-year Chinese contract worth £26.4m (€30m) per season, says Don Balon.
But Morata has no desire to play outside of Europe at this time in his career.
Tianjin Quanjian who are managed by Fabio Cannavaro were the Chinese club who made the massive offer to the Spain international.
Manchester United were previously interested in Morata but eventually opted to sign Romelu Lukaku for £75m instead.
That means Chelsea have become the leading candidates to sign the forward but they are not prepared to meet Real's valuation of the player.
The transfer saga is set to rumble on all summer with both clubs trying to reach an agreement.
