Alvaro Morata says Juventus' season now begins after victory at Champions League opponents Manchester City.

Morata and Mario Mandzukic struck the goals for Juve in the 2-1 win.

“It's a very important victory for us," Morata told Mediaset Premium.

“We didn't start the season in the best way, as we changed a great deal and need to get used to playing together.

“Today is a starting point, because when we all play together the way we know how, we are among the strongest teams in Europe.

“I worked hard to help out the defence throughout the game and was fortunate enough to score a goal too. I think this is a great starting point for Juve."
