The whole Costa situation has died down a bit following Antonio Conte's clear-the-air talks with the striker proving to be successful.
Despite that, though, Costa's intentions remain unclear as he recently rejected a £200,000-a-week deal from Chelsea prior to his bust-up with Conte.
The situation is dicey with Chinese club Tianjin Quanjian reportedly keen on the 28-year-old's services.
It may be that Costa is using the interest from the Chinese Super League outfit to leverage a new deal at Chelsea, or perhaps he's really keen on a move away from Stamford Bridge, especially considering former club Atletico Madrid remain extremely keen.
Nevertheless, he seems committed to the team's current cause, but a move in the summer is evidently on the cards.
On that note, here are five possible summer replacements for Diego Costa:
Morata was linked to Chelsea in last summer.
A move failed to materialise at the start of the season with Real Madrid opting to keep hold of him, but Morata looks a likely replacement for Costa at the end of the season.
Conte's side are reportedly planning a summer swoop for the Spanish hitman who has been handed limited opportunities by Zinedine Zidane in Madrid.
The former Juventus star has made a total of 12 La Liga appearances this season, including six as a starter.
The 24-year-old is at a point in his career where he needs to be the main man up front in whatever team he features for.
Chelsea can offer him that sort of role if Costa leaves the club at the end of the season, and with a plan already in place to sign Morata, he could very well be Chelsea's leading striker next season.
Chelsea was in contact with Everton over a potential deal for Lukaku last summer with reports suggesting the Belgium international would be open to a move back to Stamford Bridge.
Lukaku is a real fan favourite, he knows the league quite well and most of all he's a proven Premier League goalscorer.
He'd fit in straight away at Chelsea as his skill-set suggests.
Under Conte's tutelage, Lukaku could go on to become a real force as he's still only just 23.
A player Conte will know a bit about from his time in Italy, Icardi could become Serie A's biggest export.
The 23-year-old garnered some interest from Europe's biggest sides last season (including Chelsea), but with Frank de Boer coming in alongside the new Chinese owners, he saw it fit to remain at Inter.
Since de Boer's departure in November, Icardi has flourished under Stefano Pioli with six goals and four assists in 10 matches.
Inter's season has quite literally been full of ups and downs, as their league position has been fluctuating since the start of the campaign, but Icardi's individual form has been outstanding.
He's scored 15 goals and provided seven assists in 20 Serie A games this season, which further affirms his status as one of Europe's best strikers.
Surely Chelsea will be interested again, especially if they lose Costa.
It's unknown whether Sanchez will sign a new contract at Arsenal seeing as the whole Mesut Ozil/Alexis Sanchez contract saga is yet to come to an end.
Sanchez is right up there amongst the league's best players following his world-class showings as a central striker this term, which has left many Arsenal fans and rival supporters alike in awe of his ability.
If Costa actually leaves, signing a player like Sanchez would mean that the Spaniard will hardly be missed as the Chile international is capable of replicating his sublime showings across the capital.
Chelsea fans would undoubtedly look beyond the rivalry and welcome Sanchez with open arms.
Arsenal fans, on the other hand, would probably make Alexis public enemy number one.
And will the Gunners sell to a direct and local rival?
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - Borussia Dortmund
Basically, every Premier League fan wants to see Aubameyang ply his trade in the English top flight.
You can imagine, though, not too many people will be happy to see him turn out for Chelsea.
When you think of the best strikers in the world, Aubameyang's name certainly pops up because of his remarkable scoring record in Germany which stands at 100 goals from 165 outings for BVB.
He's one of the fastest players in Europe, and he's no Theo Walcott (sorry Arsenal fans) as you can always count on him to bag a goal or two, regardless of his output throughout the entire game.
Manchester City are rumoured to be interested in him, while Real Madrid have also been heavily linked, but if Dortmund are keen on letting him go for a hefty fee, you can expect to see Chelsea among the bidding party.
