Reigning MLS champions LA Galaxy bounced back to winning ways with a 3-1 home result against Portland Timbers last weekend.
The Galaxy had lost two in a row prior to that to be sitting on the bottom of the Western Conference table - a spot they traded with the Timbers - and players and coaches alike were all in a much better mood this week.
Midfielder Mike Magee said tongue-in-cheek:
Whilst head coach Bruce Arena was also a bit more positive: "We're starting to move forward," Arena said. "Every little bit helps." "I can actually enjoy my life. I can go back to smiling and showing my face at Starbucks."
And veteran Pat Noonan was also reveling in the improved morale, suggesting it was the sort of team effort that will boost the Galaxy's record of 2-0-3 for the 2012 season.
"I think as a group you come into training the next week feeling positive, thinking 'Hey, we did that as a team.'
