David Moores could follow Rick Parry out of Liverpool at the end of the season.
The News of the World says Moores is consider stepping down as Liverpool's club president.
Moores has confided to friends he is considering giving up his ambassadorial role. And that will end his family's long association with the Merseyside giants, stretching back to the 1950s.
Moores has deeply regretted the sale of the club to Tom Hicks and George Gillett Jr for the last 18 months, and with Parry gone in the summer, feels isolated.
