Moore unlikely to be selected for June WC qualifiers

Queensland Roar captain Craig Moore admits he is unlikely to be selected for the Socceroos World Cup qualifiers in June.

The 33-year old has not played a competitive match since early March and by the time the next qualifiers roll around in June, his match condition would not have been tested.

"By the time I get to June, when the three games are, that'll be three months without any football," he said.

"I'll just try to get myself fit and if that puts me back into the fold come June, then great.

"(But) the European-based boys are going to be just two weeks out of the season and I'm going to be three months out…I'm not silly and nor is Pim (Verbeek).

"But I'm not worried because you either get picked or you don't get picked - it's simple.

"There are so many ifs and buts, and that's why I'm tending not to think about it too much.

"I need to make sure I'm fit and performing well before I can even consider being involved with the national team."
