Iain Moody is delighted with his move to Crystal Palace.
Moody joined Palace as football director after being forced out at Cardiff City.
He told the club's website: "I'd been speaking to (chairman) Steve Parish for a period of weeks since I left Cardiff and was very impressed with the way he presented himself and presented the future of the club.
"The club has probably not been in ruder health than it is now in terms of finances, in terms of owning the stadium, the training ground and being in the Premier League so it was a fantastic opportunity.
"I was very flattered and honoured that Steve asked me to play a part in trying to help keep moving things forward. I can't wait to get my teeth into it."
