Montreal Impact attract record 55,000 fans to Champions League clash

Montreal Impact have smashed not only their own but a CONCACAF Champions League attendance record. With over 55,000 people attending Montreal's 2-0 victory over Santos Laguna in their Champions League quarterfinal opener at Olympic Stadium in Montreal, a new record was set.

Two goals from forward Eduardo Sebrango gave the team it's 2-0 first-leg victory over Santos Laguna, the second leg will be played at the Corona Stadium, Torreon, Mexico on the 5th March 2009.
