Montpellier's Giroud eyeing Premier League move

Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud is hoping he can one day make the move to the Premier League.

The 25-year old Frenchman is in top form this season with 14 Ligue 1 goals and has been linked with a departure with the likes of Newcastle United and Arsenal showing interest in the past.

Giroud is currently focused on forcing his way into the France squad for the European Championships but says a future move to England is something he certainly wants.

"I have always stated that it would be a dream to play in England," said Giroud.

"But I am focused on Montpellier for now because I owe them a lot. I don't want to think about too many things at once.

"We are all hoping to play in Europe and the next couple of months will be a turning point in our season.

"My personal objective is to score 20 goals and end the season on top of the scoring charts.

"I also want to go to the Euros with the French team, so it is only right that I aim to finish above the other forwards."
