Celtic are now competing with Montpellier to sign Evian striker Saber Khelifa.
The Hoops have been showing significant interest in the 26-year old Tunisia international but Montpellier sporting director Bruno Carotti suggests La Paillade could also make a move for him this summer.
"He's a quality player who has always interested us but we have to be sure the move would be right," he said of Khelifa.
"We will continue to monitor him and follow his progress very carefully."
It is believed that the former Esperance man would cost any interested club around £3million.
