Riccardo Montolivo has no regrets staying with Fiorentina.

The midfielder has been outstanding for Fiorentina this season and is eyeing a place in Italy's World Cup squad.

"I've been in Florence for a long time. This has always been my choice, regardless of offers that arrive," he said. "I knew being captain was a great responsibility and it is also a great inspiration."
