AC Milan midfielder Riccardo Montolivo admits he was shocked by defeat to Sampdoria.

Milan suffered a home loss on the opening day of the season.

"I would have expected a different result for the first game of the season," stated the Bosman free signing from Fiorentina.

"We're disappointed because we created a lot in the second half, but we were missing that little bit of luck."
