Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Montolivio admits he can understand why fans were protesting at the club yesterday.

"I can understand why the fans are so upset," Montolivo told Firenzeviola.it.

"We had a bad game against Udinese, but us players have always shown professionalism and respect for the shirt.

"This is just part of the game - the fans have the right to show their views via the banner.

"We will transform the criticism into inspiration for Saturday but the team has to be united and compact because we face a decisive game."
