Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella admits he'd like to be active in the January market.
Viola sports chief Daniele Prade would prefer to give the winter transfer window a miss.
But Montella says: "We are eager to stick close to the leading group, but a lot depends on our opponents too. I think we should look at the glass as half-full rather than half-empty. The club has done a lot for this team and we'll end up where we end up.
"The transfer market will depend on the opportunities available to us. For now the club is happy and so am I. We mustn't lose our enthusiasm or sense of where we belong."
