Montella says Fiorentina still active in winter market

Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella says they're still active in the January market.

Fiorentina have signed Alessandro Matri from Juventus and on-loan Manchester United midfielder Anderson in recent days.

"The club owners proved they wanted to improve the squad," said Montella in his Press conference.

"If other players arrive then I'll be even happier, as we can still do something more. Our transfer activity is not over.

"The club moved quickly and our directors did very well. Anderson is a very sharp guy with great temperament who has already settled into the reality of Fiorentina. He had his first training session today, but needs to go back to England to clarify a visa issue. He started out as a trequartista, but can also play inside midfield. He is an eclectic player.

"As for Matri, he is accustomed to Serie A and has a great sense of personal sacrifice. It is probable he will play against Catania."
